Scripts
I love being creative, but sometimes to make the prettiest picture, you have to do a lot of repetitive tasks. To speed that up, I like to program my own scripts for After Effects and Cinema 4D to do it faster! In addition to Javascript and Python, I've even built applets in Applescript, Android apps in Java, and websites in glorious HTML and CSS. Here's my current Toolbox of cool After Effects scripts!
What can it do?
- Organizes all assets in a project
- Batch rename and batch change settings of comps
- Automatically name all layers in the project based on their effects
- Removes all unused effects
- Remove all guide layers
- Change all fonts used in a project
- Expressions for animating like realistic Overshoot or Inertial Bounce
- Expressions for working with cameras like locking scale to distance or linking the focus to a null
- Plus, always adding more!
Me
Hi there! I'm a motion designer for Hollywood. I design and animate logos for movies and tv shows, or whenever else they need cool graphics.
My work has appeared in movie trailers for Disney, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, and more. I've designed openings for shows around the world from thrillers to anime to documentaries. I've animated the Starship Enterprise for Star Trek, the Ouroboros for Wheel of Time, and the shapes for Squid Game. My work has gone up big in Times Square, and tiny on book covers across the country. I've designed graphics packages for NBA broadcasts, branding that's gone in every AT&T store in the country, and a video game opening for Ubisoft. From LA to Seoul, from London to Manilla, if they make cool movies and shows there, then I've probably made pretty pictures for them.
I specialize in the programs After Effects, Cinema 4D, Redshift, Photoshop, and Illustrator, but have dabbled in many others. I have a background in both the arts and computer science, allowing me to draw on a wide variety of sources to make pretty pictures. So I'll understand references to art history, and program automated scripts to make art faster.
Originally from Wisconsin, I have a BFA from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. I've lived in Milwaukee, Madrid, Seattle, Minneapolis, and now beautiful sunny LA. I enjoy reading, biking, yoga, exploring new places, and having new experiences.
